Many researches have shown that smartphone have a link with sleep quality whether by the screen light, the electromagnetic field, and even the thing that we received from using smartphone which can cause stress. For example, the brighter the screen we use at night the harder we can fall sleep. In all electronic devices emitting the blue light which it causes the pineal gland to produce less melatonin, a sleep hormones. The light was received through the eyes and then it will send the signal to the hypothalamus that it is still a daytime, so that the melatonin suppression occurs. The pineal gland will be activating after the absence of light. The smartphone can cause a bad effect on health and sleep quality.
