本研究旨在探究目前少子化現象中,家庭教養方式對國小低年級教師班級經營之影響,及教師所運用的策略。本研究採用質性之訪談法,以忠新國小四位低年級教師為訪談對象,深入了解教師對此議題的因應之道,經歸納、分析之後,得到以下結論:壹、少子化現象的確影響家庭教養方式,進而影響學生進入校園之後各方面的表 現,低年級教師在班級經營上,因而受到影響,須調整班級經營之策略。貳、在「教學經營」方面,因班級人數較少,教師較可能兼顧到每一個學生,作業指導方面適時給予個別指導;學生應該培養的能力,融入於各領域課程設計中;因應學生特質與家長要求調整課表;學習評量上給學生明確的努力目標。但家長積極介入教師教學經營,亦使教師備感壓力。參、在「常規經營」方面,因部分家長對孩子的教養方式傾向於縱容保護,因此教師對學生偏差行為的輔導與懲處需要更小心,避免引起家長的誤解。此外,學生的挫折忍耐力較低,過於自我中心,容易造成學校生活適應較差,因此,教師運用同儕的力量加以約束,輔以獎勵的方式幫助學生儘早適應學校生活。肆、在「班級環境經營」方面,因人數少,清潔工作分配不完,且學生使用工具能力與清潔能力較弱,教師需要自行整理或是請家長協助。伍、在「人際關係經營」方面,因部分家長缺乏陪伴孩子的時間,因此教師成為孩子分享的主要對象,因此,教師會運用親密的師生關係,更加深入了解學生。但是,學生間的同儕關係因彼此都較自我中心,容易造成紛爭,所以教師會設計課程教導學生建立同儕人際關係的技巧。然而親師關係變得較緊張,但基於教師與家長有為學生學習成長為而努力的共同目標,教師積極與家長溝通,讓家長成為教師的助力。
