You can make a triangle out of your hand and hold it up and look at a distant object. Maybe there's a clock up on the wall. Look with just your left eye. Look with just your right eye, which I can't wink so I'm not able to show you really easily with that or hold your thumb up covering when you're only looking with your left cover up that clock. Then move it to your other side and you see how the thumb, even though it didn't move, the image of the clock, seems to move to a different place. So because our eyes are seeing the image from a different angle, we're processing that information to get some depth perception or get some understanding of the world around us. Motion parallax is this idea that, we see things moving over top of each other in different ways.
